CdeO City Administrator Atty. Leon Du M. Gan poses with one of the “Art Tsada” artist with a piece featuring a silhouette of a tree with people clinging on its branches reminiscent of the experiences of a lot of survivors during the Sendong flood last year. The exhibit is open to the public with the participating artists doing ‘on-the-spot’ painting demonstrations and workshops during the fiesta celebrations specially dedicated to Sendong survivor children to help them recover from the psychological trauma brought about by the disaster.

In behalf of City Mayor Vicente “Dongkoy” Y. Emano, Vice Mayor Caesar Ian E. Acenas, as Chairman, and the members of the City Fiesta Executive Committee formally launched the 9 Core Events of the Kagay-an Festival 2012 during the Media Launching yesterday at the City Tourism Hall.
With its theme “CdeO back on our feet, and moving forward… A City in Bloom, In Blossom, and in Boom“, the press, barangay captains, and City Hall department heads witnessed the launching of the Cultural Street Dance Competition;Search for Ms. Kagay-an; Civic-Military Parade and Golden Float Competition; PE Rhythmic Dance Competition;Agro-Fair, Rodeo and Horseshow; Kagay-an Festival Run; Kagay-an Pyro Festival; Fluvial Procession; and Mass Halad/Novena.
